Train to Play. Not Just to Look Good.

Training Approach
Developing players to compete at the highest level for their age—and preparing them for the next level. With the correct systems in place, consistent skill work moves players forward quicker than anything else.
➡️ Middle school players: goal is to prepare them to play high school varsity as soon as possible
➡️ High school players: goal is to perform at a high level on varsity and prepare for what’s next
➡️ Post-high school players: goal is to prepare for the college game and/or their next pro season
Focus
While I offer various options, training is primarily centered around 10-Week Skills Training Programs. They create real progress and measurable improvement.
AAU and travel teams may provide games and exposure, but they don’t accelerate development the same way intentional training does—and often take much longer.
Trainer Kyle Impero’s Philosophy & System
I’ve trained college and professional players and reached the college level myself. Athletes who believe in the philosophy and commit to the systems I offer consistently become some of the top players in the area.
Training is built for players who want their skills to translate to real games. Anyone can look good in drills. The players who stay on the court are the ones who make smart decisions, play with pace, and impact winning consistently.
How the Training Works
Every session blends skill development with decision-making, reaction, and spatial awareness. The goal is simple: train the skill, learn when to apply it, apply it under pressure, and use it confidently in games.
Level 1: Build strong fundamentals and eliminate bad habits.
Level 2: Apply skills with pace, pressure, and reads.
Level 3: Execute instinctively in game-like situations.
What I Emphasize
1) Breaking bad habits
2) Limiting unnecessary mistakes
3) Smart reads over flashy plays
4) Making plays that keep athletes on the court
Why Training Over Travel Teams
More games don’t guarantee growth. Too often, players rely on under-practiced skills and hope to have a “good game.” Training builds the skills, confidence, and preparation that show up when games matter most.
Why This Matters in Whatcom County
The talent is here, but consistent development is often missing. My training programs keeps players in the gym, ball in hand, improving rep after rep.
Development over hype. Training over shortcuts. Results over time.
